I am a passionate piano teacher with nearly ten years of teaching experience in the U.S. Every day, I think about how to help my students gain a sense of accomplishment through learning the piano and how music can provide healing and help them better understand themselves. Tailoring lessons to each student’s needs and building deep connections with students and parents are the hallmarks of my teaching. With my professional knowledge and nearly a decade of experience, I ensure that my students’ learning is solid and enjoyable.
Ms. Jerty
Ms. Jerty is a very passionate and dedicated piano instructor with extensive experience in music education. Originally from Taiwan, she currently lives in Southern California, where she shares her knowledge and love for music with her students. In 2019, Ms. Jerty earned her M.A. in Music from Bethesda University, specializing in Piano Performance in Contemporary Music. Her academic accomplishments and practical expertise make her an outstanding instructor for aspiring musicians.
Ever since starting her career as an educator in 2016, Jerty has been dedicated to nurturing the musical talents of her students in various cities, including Irvine, Lake Forest, Tustin, Aliso Viejo, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, and Chino Hills. She teaches at students' homes and two music schools, and she also spends time teaching choir at the Irvine Chinese School every Friday from 2019 to 2020. Her commitment to her students is unwavering, and she strives to create a nurturing environment for their musical growth.
During the pandemic, Ms. Jerty embraced online lessons and relocated to Prosper, Texas, where she cultivated a new community of students. Teaching from her home, Jerty prioritizes performance by hosting a personal piano recital for each student upon completing the SUZUKI book, where they present all the pieces they've memorized in front of an audience. Ms. Jerty finds fulfillment in the community and fellowship these recitals bring, with parents and children coming together to celebrate musical achievements. These events are infused with music performances, food, conversations, and the heartwarming sight of kids playing together. For Ms. Jerty, the most rewarding aspect is seeing her students complete their entire book and perform with confidence and pride.
After her husband's job relocation, Ms. Jerty moved back to Southern California, where she once again started with a new group of students. Having gone through this process twice before, Ms. Jerty is now embarking on her third journey of rebuilding her studio.
